Gay Marriage: A Loss Either Way

Everyone seems to be posting their opionion on this issue so I will follow suite...Just in case you were curious which you probably weren't.

I am of the opinion that the world his heading for hell.

Weither or not Prop 8 passed or not has been irrelivant to me from the beginning. Although I fully support it, it's passing has not been a victory.

It seems as though I am the only one who knows how dispicable the situation is. Judges and minorites, a small group of elite people are trying to undermine the will of the people.
A few years ago, there was a prop. to pass gay marrige, it failed. and BEHIND OUR BACKS a judge rules to allow gay marrage. I don't understand how this behavior can be justified in a democratic republic like America. When Prop. 8 comes along, we pass it. There is no question about what the popular vote wants, they are not accusing those who voted for Prop. 8 of fraud. But a group of elite's still want to circumvent the will of the people. This makes me angry, not because of the wrongness of gay marrage but because it goes against the principles upon which we are founded.
A friend at work told me reguarding prop. 8 passing.. "isn't it interesting that the most liberal state in the US bans gays from marrying. I mean what happened to idolizing Ellen Degeneres and all the Hollywood people who are gay."
To me the passing of prop 8 signified something significant happening in our culture. People have had enough of it. People are starting to be finished with Idolizing the selfish people who hold so much sway over the younger population.

People are starting to understand that life was meant to follow certian patterns, and weither you are a heterosexual or not, you must recognize that homosexual activity is not a part of that pattern.

If prop. 8 hadn't passed, I think I would have been disapointed, but not suprised. What has suprised me is the negative feedback we have gotten from those who wanted it to pass....
Think about it, if the situation were reversed the supporters of prop. 8 would not fight to circumvent the will of the popular vote. Yet this is exactly what the minority has done.
They demoralize us, call us prejudiced, and even disrupt the worship of a part of our faction.
I have no doubt that if the minority went far enough, they could find a way to legalize it anyway.
Either way, we would loose.
